This was our AGM meeting followed by a social for our members and visitors. Sally Dalley from Huntingdon & Peterborough Federation of WI's kindly attended to assist and adjudicate. We now have 9 Committe Members and Nikki Jackson was voted back in as President. Jayne Evans and Pat Mulgrew kindly agreed to continue their roles as Secretary and Treasurer.
Our ladies had put on a lovely spread as well as a Christmas Extravaganza Raffle and we all had a great time. We raised a glass to our first year as Love's Farm Ladies WI as well as toasted in 2018. Onwards and Upwards!
October's meeting was great fun. Cour de Plume, a burlesque dancer, came along to talk about her life as a dancer. She is now part of a burlesque group and showed us some of her costumes and props. We all took part at the end of the meeting to have a go at a dance. What an excellent evening!

Unfortunately our speakers from MAGPAS were unable to attend at short notice. Luckily for us Trevor Gunton was able to step in and talk to us about his experiences and the wildlife on Scottish Islands. This was a very interesting and informative talk with some beautiful slides.
Cardiac Physiologists from North West Anglia Hinchingbrooke NHS trust came to visit our meeting to test everyone's blood pressure and heart functions.
This was a very informative and interesting talk. Turns our members are quite a healthy lot!
This was our open meeting when we invited members from other local WI groups to come along and join us for the evening.
Jane Barnes was an excellent speaker talking about her life as a Dairy Farmer's Wife. This was a very funny and entertaining talk with lots of information about cows and cheese production.
We can highly recommend this speaker!
The ladies from Co-op travel (in Beales) came to talk to us about travel, holidays and the sort of services they offer. We had a quiz and they kindly brough a fantastic raffle prize.

This was our Resolutions/Getting to Know You meeting. Representatives from Huntingdon & Peterborough Federation of WI's came along to talk about this years WI Resolutions and to explain the campaigns.
We followed that with a Cheese & Wine getting to know you social.
Trevor Gunton from Little Paxton Nature Reserve kindly came along to talk to us about Paxton Pits accompanied by an excellent slide show.
He has a wonderful wealth of experience with Paxton Pits and conservation in general. His slides were amazing.
The President of Brampton Flower Club kindly came along to give us a demonstration of Spring Easter flower arrangements.
She had some wonderful ideas that were simple to put together and looked amazing.
We all learnt something new!
