Jill Gibbs came along to talk to us about the Community Fire and Rescue Centre.

Jane Kennedy came along to our January meeting to give us a taster of sign language. She was an extremely entertaining speaker and we learnt all sorts of useful signs as well as signed to the Rainbow Song and an Adele Song! We all had a great tim
Firstly we had a visit from Lynette Ellison from Strong for Sampson who came along to talk to us about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and her son Sampson. This is one of the charities Love's Farm Ladies WI will be supporting this year.
She is an energetic and informative speaker and LFLWI are delighted to be able to support this very worthwhile charity.
We then had Ildiko Miklos join us who is a Nia Practitioner who spoke and demonstrated Nia. She currently runs a class at Love’s Farm House. Nia is a holistic fitness combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness for body, mind and soul. Ildiko talk about the background of Nia and led us in a demonstration. This was great fun and got everyone up and moving!
Anthea Moore gave an informative talk and demonstrate of encaustic wax (a craft using wax).
She was an engaging speaker who was enthusiastic about her craft and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Three of our ladies had a go as well and they all produced amazing pictures in a very short amount of time.
Emma Saunders came along to our meeting to talk about MAGPAS and the amazing work they do. She gave a fantastic talk including the background behind MAGPAS and some amazing stories about their work. What a very worthwhile charity. We would certainly recommend this talk to other WI groups.
Nicki and Anne came along from Bramble Lodge Alpacas. Nicki talked about how Alpacas came into her life and gave an entertaining as well as informative talk. The pictures of her Alpacas were absolutely lovely. Unfortunately she couldn't bring one of them along to our meeting!
Mo Pickavance came along and talked about Women’s Health. She gave a thoroughly interesting and entertaining talk. Very informative too! A very good speaker.
Our meeting in August was a fun social night with a quiz and buffet. Firstly Anne Streather came along to give us a short presentation on one of our chosen charities for this year, STARS. We then had a quiz! Thanks to our Secretary, Jayne, who organised the general and local knowledge questions. Brilliant night and everyone had a great time. Well done to the winning team of Nikki, Gill, Anne and Pat!
Bob Harding, a Performance Poet, Humour-Columnist & Writer came along to our open meeting to perform his one man show “Laughter in the Village”. This was thoroughly entertaining and a great night.
Sue Stephenson of "Puddle Paddock" was our speaker tonight. She gave us an amusing talk , "SIMPLY SUE". These were memories and thoughts for our enjoyment or as her husband would say "You never know what she is going to come up with next"
Secondly, there was another visit from Lynette Ellison from Strong for Sampson ,who gave us an update on all the fantastic charity work going on for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy since her last visit back in February 2019.
We had the talented Anne Robinson joining us this month to demonstrate her cake decorating and sugar craft skills.
